The schedule for the ninth edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup has been revealed, and the tournament is set to be jointly hosted by the West Indies and the USA from June 1 to June 29, 2024.
The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 schedule was revealed on Friday, setting the first match for June 1 and the final for June 29 in Barbados. This is the ninth edition of T 20 world cup hosted by ICC. India will to face Pakistan in New York on June 9.
The tournament will utilize three venues in the USA and six in the Caribbean for its ninth edition. Lauderhill, Dallas, and New York will host matches in the USA, with the high-profile India-Pakistan clash scheduled for the new Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in Long Island on June 9.
Ten teams out of the 20 will kick off their matches in the USA, featuring 16 games in total. Meanwhile, the Caribbean will host 41 matches across six different islands, including semifinals in Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana. The tournament’s grand finale is set to take place in Barbados.
The opening match on June 1 will feature co-hosts USA against arch-rival Canada, while the West Indies will take on Papua New Guinea in Guyana on the second day of group play.
